COVID-19 TESTING 

WHEN SHOULD I GET TESTED FOR COVID BEFORE TRAVELLING?

This will depend on your travel destination. Most countries require a negative test result within 72 hours of your arrival.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY COVID TEST RESULTS?

The rapid antigen test provides results within approximately 15 minutes. The PCR test is sent to a nearby lab for analysis and you will receive your results in approximately 24 hours.

CAN I USE YOUR COVID TESTS TO TRAVEL?

Yes, our service is designed to help travellers.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I TEST POSITIVE FOR ANTIGENS?

If your test is positive for COVID-19 we recommend you do a PCR test with us immediately. We will send your results to Public Health  and ask that you remain in quarantine until further instructions come from Public Health. This can take up to 72 hours.

DOES MY EMPLOYER OR SCHOOL ACCEPT THESE COVID TEST RESULTS?

Please contact your school or your employer directly in order to find out if they accept the results of this type of test. Institutions will vary on what they accept.

DO YOU REPORT MY POSITIVE ANTIGEN TEST TO PUBLIC HEALTH?

Yes. Our nurses will forward any positive results to public health authorities.

CAN THESE COVID TESTS BE COVERED BY MY PRIVATE INSURANCE?

Please contact your insurance company to confirm if this test will be covered.

HOW MUCH DO AT HOME BLOOD TESTS COST?

Analysis by private lab: The price varies according to the test prescribed by your health care professional. Send us your lab requisition and we'll call you within 48 hours with your estimate. If it's urgent, please call us. 

Analysis by public hospital: The price is a fixed competitive price. You must be covered by RAMQ and have a valid RAMQ number. Small distance surcharge may apply. 

ARE YOUR SERVICES REIMBURSED BY INSURANCE?

All Sante Beacon Health Care services come with receipts for your insurance. Our professional staff are all members of their respective order. You must verify with your insurance provider to see if you are covered. 

Note: Any fee that is not reimbursed by your insurance can be deducted as a medical expense in your tax return. Consult with your accountant.
